SPERA and I
Each member introduces his view on music and SPERA before concerts in March 2015.
Hajime Akiyama
I am a tenor.
Singing with SPERA’s member is such a rich experience for me. You will never forget SPERA’s overtone as I will not.
Singing as a member of SPERA has a significant meaning for me. I major in Peace Studies in my college.
Thinking about peace is very tough and complicated, but I believe music must have something to do with peace. SPERA became a part of my peace project. I hope our music contributes to peace within you and us. It will be the first step to creating a wider peace because peace begins with ourselves.
See you in the concert.
I appreciate your continuous support.
Kazuki Takeuchi
I have been singing in the choir for ten years since when I was a high school student.
I did not expect to sing in a choir even after the graduation from high school.
I really enjoy SPERA’s music, and that’s why I am still a member of choir. When SPERA’s voice perfectly hermonises, it is just a touching moment. I am sure that such a moment is not possible elsewhere.
Concert at Opera City in March 2015 will be my last concert as a college student.
I hope to enjoy SPERA’s music with all of you.
Hiromi Ishii
I am a tenor.
SPERA is like a family for me. Since I went to an elementary school, I have learnt an electronic organ and played the clarinet in a brass band of my school. I have joined a chorus club in elementary school and continued to sing in the St. Paul’s Male Choir of Rikkyo Niiza. To be honest, I could not concentrate on the choir because I have involved in other activities as well. However, I believe the “power of songs” assists me to continue to sing as a member of SPERA even after the graduation from high school.
You need nothing to sing. Your body itself is an instrument. Singing is pretty simple, but this simpleness makes singing interesting. Each singer’s emotion is reflected in each sound.
SPERA is like a family. Since I was a high school student, there has been my place among members of SPERA. I am so satisfied to sing with them. I hope you feel a “power of songs” in a concert as a member of “SPERA family.”
Tomohisa Inoue
I am staying in Lausanne, Switzerland for studying French as a part of my faculty's curriculum from this September to December.
I started singing in 2009, as a member of choir in my junior and senior high school and started singing in the Ensemble Choir SPERA two years ago.
I also belong to the Rikkyo All Saints Chapel Choir (University's choir). I am happy to spend my time to assist a praying of congregations adorning services with music.
I hope you to enjoy our ensemble with a rich harmony in a concert that we will have in next March.
I am looking forward to seeing you in the concert, thank you!
Shohei Nakahara
I am a bass.
I joined the St. Paul’s Male Choir of Rikkyo Niiza when I was a Year Seven student, and I continue to sing since then.
It is my pleasure to sing as a member of SPERA because I still wanted to sing in a choir even after I graduated from high school. Each of us is unique in many respects, but we have sung together for many years. I am sure that our experience so far will help creating a wonderful harmony of SPERA.
Kyota Yamamoto
I am a tenor.
I began to sing in St.Paul's Male Choir of Rikkyo Niiza when I was a ninth grader in Rikkyo Niiza Junior High School.
Music was close me because I have been learning to play the piano since a first grade. But I did not know what the actual “Music” was. After I had become a member of the Choir, I recognized the depth of singing in chorus.
I am attracted by the music of the chorus, so I belong to the Ensemble Choir SPERA. SPERA became an indispensable part of my life. Members of SPERA share visions of music and I take a great pleasure of it. Moreover, it is a wonderful opportunity for me to share a space with audiences through songs of SPERA.
SPERA is an ensemble choir.
You might doubt the punch of our music. However, I feel the joy to create a perfect harmony. I am sure that you will share this joyfulness.
I hope to see you in concert of the Ensemble Choir SPERA!
Airo Tommy Renard
I am a bass.
I began to sing seven years ago, and I have been singing as a member of SPERA for two years.
I enjoy SPERA’s harmony, and I feel happy to share it with audiences.
We will invite you to a wonderful and splendid harmony in the concert in next March.
I am looking forward to seeing you in the concert.
